So, I'm
going to just start with the basic intro. to Machi first then move into
his life etc. etc. Machi was the drummer for the popular visual kei
band Lareine. His so-called 'role' in the band was that of love.
(This would explain why there's a lot of reds in his costumes.) He's
quite femmine, with makeup on (I've seen pictures of him with and without
it too.) but, without it, he looks like a handsome young man! He
likes to wear women's clothes even when he's not in costume or playing in
Lareine. His two favourite clothing designers are Anna Sui and
Christian Dior. Though Machi is somewhat 'girly' he still has an
idea of what his ideal girl would be like. He says that his ideal
girl would have to "have a miraculous perception, be sensible,
elegant and be a universal person". He also has a favourite
type of woman. This woman would have to have a wonderful, mysterious
aura (Silly Machi! Machi the aura reader .... te he he ...).
Machi least favourite type of woman would be one who is a treacherous
person (Warui mono!).
Machi said in an interview, when asked what his most prized thing was,
said that "Ano hi no mizu-umi ni sotto shizumete kimashita."
("That day I wore it and it felI into the lake."; think he's
saying that he lost it in a lake the day he put it on.) Machi also
said that his most recent worry was, "Hito ni wa ienai ..."
("What people don't say ..."; I think this is what he's saying
.... it was hard to translate. I think he's talking about people,
probably the other members of Lareine, not talking about their feelings.)
Also, when asked, Machi said that the person he'd like most to meet now it
"the beautiful you". (Kawaii!!) Machi, if he could
have any three wishes he wanted said he'd want: to always be healthy, to
be able to turn back time, and to become a magician. Like all
people, Machi had a changing point in his life. He said that the
changing point in his life was "Bokutachi no shippai, nan chatte."
("Our failure, what's wrong."; I don't quite understand what he
means ... maybe something to do with his family life.) The strangest
dream that Machi said he ever had was one where he had a conversation with
an angel/ alien. And his most inspiring/ emotional thing is fans
making web pages on the Internet.
Now to the timeline-like history of Machi's life. Machi was born in
the country of Austria. Yet, to my knowledge, he is Japanese.
I have my own theory of how he got to be born there and be in Japan now
but, since I don't know if any of it's true, I won't put it down here.
In Junior-High school, it was the first time that Machi watched the videos
of X (the legendary rock band; which I personally love! ^.^). Machi
was impressed and felt a deep attraction from Yoshiki's performance.
Later on, Mach went to Osaka for an exam from Kyushu by train.
Luckily, Machi passed his exam. However, Machi's parents were
totally against Machi going. This was the reason that he decided to
go to Tokyo on that last night of his High School's graduation. When
he left, his younger brother and sister said good-bye to his before be
left. To this day, Machi's parents still have not forgiven him.
Then, in November of 1995, Machi joined Lareine. Machi was to remain
in the band for five more years, until the year 2000. Then, soon
after the release of Lareine's first major label album, tensions between
the band members caused Machi, Emiru, and Mayu to leave the band.
Their last concert together was on August 6th. Machi,
after leaving Lareine, supposedly had some involvement with the visual kei
band Malice Mizer doing drumming for them. He also worked one a song
with LUCIFER (from the band fiction). Machi is presently working on
some project with LUCIFER. The two are working on their own webpage
